Overview
Latent Bone Break belongs to the Latent Sunder Charms, an upgraded category introduced in Reign of the Warlock that can be enhanced into stronger renewed versions.
Unlike the Original Bone Break, the latent variant is part of a progression system that allows further upgrades through crafting.
Latent Bone Break drops from Heralds in Reign of the Warlock, powerful elite enemies that appear within Terrorized Zones. These are rotating high-level areas where monsters scale with your level and offer improved rewards. Terrorized Zones change regularly or can be activated using Worldstone Shards, making them a core part of endgame farming and progression.
Its effect allows physical builds to break enemy physical immunity, enabling damage in areas and encounters that would otherwise be heavily restricted. Because it also lowers the player’s own physical resistance, it is best used in optimized builds that can offset the downside through gear, mitigation, or defensive scaling.
As part of the Reign of the Warlock upgrades, Latent Bone Break is a key charm for advanced physical damage setups and long-term progression.
Upgrade (Horadric Cube)
Latent Bone Break can be upgraded into Renewed Bone Break using the following recipe:
Recipe:
Latent Bone Break + Perfect Amethyst + Pul Rune + Northern Worldstone Shard
= Renewed Bone Break
This upgrade path adds long-term value, allowing players to enhance the charm instead of replacing it.
Usage
This charm is especially effective for melee and hybrid builds that rely on physical damage and require a way to break immunities. It becomes even more valuable for players planning to craft Renewed Bone Break, since only the latent version can be used in the recipe.
